Hats off to GM and my Chevy dealer. Approved the engine replacement under warrantee and will have the car back in working order 3 weeks from the original engine dying. It turns out there's a lot of steps and labor involved doing an engine replacement.

Wondering if I should transfer my "Andrea" plaque to the new crate engine
I would vote no.
Best it's false advertising, worst your new engine will be cursed.

The C7 is supposed to make 460 Hp and our motors are rated at 455 Hp. What’s the difference if any? Besides someone saying 5 Hp.

I don't know either, but my guess would be the headers.

Could be several things. We have tri y headers . The cam is the same also. Maybe the 455 rating is with std exhaust and 460 is with npp exhaust fully open? I also read an article where most likely it’s just advertising. The vette always has to be top dog power wise.

I'd bet it's just advertising (sandbagging the Camaro to make vette look better).

Having said that, my replacement LT1 crate engine is rated at 460HP and 465torque, so I think I might change my badging to "SS+" as I'll now have one of the few SS 1LEs with 5 more HP and 10 more torque than the rest of you OEM guys.

Oooh, now I'm tempted to trade with you

Haha. But my hand built corvette engine, one hopefully not built by a drinking at lunchtime then built my engine gm tech is rated at 460/465 as well..lol
Seriously, I looked up gm corvette data and the motor is rated at 455/455 with automatic or with optional npp exhaust closed off in tour mode. They then rate it at 460/465 with exhaust full open in track mode. So you don’t have to change your badging, you are legit either way!

I can just see the edge of the plaque on mine, but I have the strut tower brace and not inclined to remove it just to see the builders name, maybe one day.

You don’t have to. You can pop that cover up with it on there. I have the strut tower brace as well. You can just lift the one side of the intake cover.

My 2022 LT1 has a badge (so not a full SS and not 2021 or older) so these are still being built/used from there.

I reached out to Shannon. He is on IG. Will see if he responds. Looking at his page, it looks like someone with a Canadian Camaro has reached out to him previously as well...
