Question Ground effect package

Hi All, still waiting to order my 2019 SS. Got another question. I live in Quebec and this will be my DD, so in the winter I will put 18" tire.

I really like the look of the SS with the ground effect package but I am wandering if it will make the bumper too low to be able to drive it in the winter.

What do you think? Will it make a real difference on the ability to drive it in the winter with the ground effect package?

While I don't have the OEM ground effects, I think most of the kits actually don't add anything lower, they go out sideways to prevent this kind of issue. Thus people can choose to lower their car if they wish AND have the body kit without the kit interfering. I have seen one front splitter that added mass under the car but I don't think most do.

I have the OEM ground effects package on my car and would say there is minimal to no impact to ground clearance with it - maybe a milimiter or 2 given the thickness of the product is all you lose.

For winter, I'm going with 18" rims and 235/45R18 Michelin's. If you compare this with the stock setup you'll find that the winter tire is about 1.3" shorter than the stock one so overall you would be lowering the car less than an inch with this setup. Don't think having the OEM ground effects package would make that much of a difference with that type of setup.

Hi everyone! I’m thinking of getting the OEM front lip for my ‘18 SS soon. Does anyone know if there’s a difference between the front lip for the 2019 or is it just a carry over from the 16-18?
