Well, to be honest. Every car is making power right now. It's December. My last dyno was 664/683. I go back sometime next week for a few more mods, then re tune, then hit the dyno again. But, just in these 40-50 degree temps, I'd prob throw down a 700 hp pull. But anyhow, my slow ass Maserati is faster this time of year.

Was that a little burnout he did right before his run? (GASP!) Heavens no. He must either be on DRs or he doesn't know what he's doing...according to SSFriendly.

And what, are they all gonna wait until December to get good runs? In warmer temps they need DRs just to do a 12.2. So unless it stays cold all year or unless they all wait until Winter then I doubt they'll be doing low 12s consistently.

So Im new to this forum but god this thread is hilarious! Theres no way in hell a new 18 gt is keeping up with a zl1! Not happening! Im a camaro guy but i will say i respect all cars. The hellcat, awesome! Demon? Need i say more? Lol. And the 350r is great too! It was only .3 slower than the zl1 on a track in the motortrend h2d and its NA? Impressive! And even tho the new 18 GT is in the early stages of testing its posting impressive times. Lund’s new test today went 11.26 at like 122 with e85, tune catback and passenger seat removed. Good time for a barely modded car. But people on here comparing it to a zl1, STOP

My buddys a diehard mustang guy , he has a 16 gtpp (dont ask why were friends) lol. But he just sent be these photos, i guess its spy shots of the new gt500 or cobra or whatever they call it haha.

A supercharger on the 5.2 should make some serious power. I’m guess at the LT5 or more.

But here’s one possibility. When the car made its stock power passes it was a stock calibration. A reloaded stock tune or “calibration”they called it . Many forums will not consider that a stock car as some have shown to run stronger. I forget all the reasons why and don’t feel like searching. But the car was getting out pretty hard for its 3.15 gears. Almost like the stock torque management was not working as it would on a sealed computer/tune car.

In short the car had been tuned and tweaked previously and ran on a reloaded stock calibration. Did this help the car? It’s possible as I’ve heard of such things. Not trying to discredit here just having a discussion

I see your point. When I take my truck in for service I reload the stock tune. But my truck runs like its tuned for 50 plus miles and a couple of cold startups. It takes time for the ECU the learn the tune.

For perspective against the stock SS fast list, this Atco in December run of 12.143 would be average ranking #16 on the list of 30
The SS list averages as

1-15 = 12.061
1-20 = 12.098
1-25 = 12.130
1-30 = 12.165

It will be a drivers race. Nice mph
