How many of you would offer your ZL1's to be reviewed?

If the opportunity were to present itself, how many of you would offer your ZL1's to be reviewed to a well known car reviewer youtube channel? I imagine these channels want to get reviews of the hottest cars in as quickly as possible. And that dealerships may not allow any of them to touch such a low production vehicle like the ZL1. So, these youtube channels I imagine would depend owners to lend their cars for reviews. Obviously, during the test drive, he would get a couple of high RPM launches and be able to demonstrate some of the car's potential.

Just wanted to know how comfortable you all felt to have someone drive your car a little hard. Perhaps if you did allow, what kind of restrictions would you state? I was thinking about this the other day. Being that the ZL1's are so new are not very many good video reviews out there.

I'm not seeing how this benefits the owner one bit. Of course the Youtube Channeler will cash in on fame and ads to work over somebody's $70K car but, for what? What does the owner get in exchange? Bragging rights to say 'yeah, man that's my car he's bitch slapping around for free'. Mad respect to that guy.

Just sayin'

I spy a YouTuber phishing for answers hoping to get lucky. Nothing personal OP, but I believe this belongs in the "Stupid ZL1 Questions" thread.

Not at all. I run no youtube channel. I do not even know how to drive a manual yet. I am just a person looking at buying a ZL1 in the future. Either a M6 or A10. Like many others that on this forum looking to buy ZL1's, would greatly appreciate more good quality video reviews. Many of us watch youtube car channels and they are reviewing cars all the time. I was just thinking when you have a hot car like the ZL1, and how cool it would be for them to give their opinion on what they think of this car. I know to get a ZL1 to review, they have to obtain the car somehow. So, that would leave some very nice owner to lend for review.

You can never get too many video reviews of this car. I would watch every one of them. I always enjoy a different perspective. You can certainly take a few points from each review to help you with your car purchase decision. I know many people are buying these cars without test drives. So, any additional perspective is much appreciated.

For me personally, If I had a ZL1 and it was past the break in period and was my favorite youtuber, I might consider it. Key word is here my favorite youtuber. At most, I would enjoy having a nice long conversation with the guy about cars over a lunch or dinner. Since he would have driven many cars, he would be able to offer some nice unique perspective. And how my car compares to others he has driven. There is so much more you can get from a car guy by talking to them directly as opposed to just watching a video.

Well, you are on a camaro exclusive forum, any questions you could possibly have just ask them. Everyone on here is more than willing to assist as I found out when I was going through buying mine. You're gonna fhave a hard time finding someone who will let a YouTube guy rape their car for some views. Some companies designing stuff will use customers' cars but typically they're rewarded with a version of what they design.

I've got a HBM ZL1, so any questions you have that you can't find on the forum, feel free to ask away.

I would assume most of the time they are loaned by people who know the reviewer or friend of a friend type deals. I have no problem letting people drive my car typically and even co drove for a track day with a friend in it. Letting someone test it for a youtube show would be tough even if I was familiar with his work.

I'd do it. For the price of a track day or something.

When I buy a car, I expect it to be driven. Hard. I've let numerous people drive almost every car I've ever owned. So long as they pay for whatever they break, I'm good.

Anyone want to review a 2SS? hahaha

Youtube reviewer...LOL...

Even the ones lowest on the totem pole have media credentials that manufacturers will let you test drive a car for your review...or if you are "big" enough, they will loan the car to you. If anyone had to ask to "review" your personal car...they are just looking to drive your car
