this video is old, the Z/28 was ahead when the rain hit causing the driver to back off for the rest of the lap. If that didn't happen they would have been around 7:30.00 range....

The guy in the Z/28 almost lost it at about the 6:24 mark (probably the rain) and lost a lot of speed and the ZL1 took over from there!

Love this video! It showcases the superior handling of the Camaro platform. Both cars are at the top of their niche markets. I only wish they'd shown more performance metrics, like throttle and brake input, steering angle, and lateral G's on both.

The Z/28 was definitely carrying more speed through the tight turns but ZL1 would put an extra 10-15 mph per straight on it. Like was said before, both are amazing track cars they just accomplish it in different ways.

Yup. This was exactly the point of the video when I threw it together. I'm sure the ZL1 feels amazing in a straight line.
