Do you have a link to your resistor? Thanks

Here's a pic, I untucked the wires so the connections are easier to see. And I used one of these, didn't need both. http://www.autozone.com/electrical-a...?checkfit=true

T-tapped the harness wires and put spade connectors on resistor wires.

I have a problem. I did the LED reverse lights and installed a load resistor on one side. I still have light glow. What did I do wrong and how do I fix it?

Do the resistors for the front turn signals have to be 8 ohm? All i can find are 6 ohm. Also, do they need to be on both sides or just one like the reverse lights?

Did this just hours after buying my 2SS.

But I used Gen5diy's harness and bulbs, I bought a pair of HP11 7440 bulbs from DiodeDynamics because I wanted it to be as bright as possible, But included the option for bulbs in the Gen5Diy harness purchase just in case they didn't fit.

It was super easy to remove the right tail light, I just took off the plastic plate over the trunk hinge and pulled the side carpet forward to reveal the 2 nuts, then took off that little door thing on the side and reached the 3rd nut through that... Put the harness on, tucked everything back and put it together.

Didn't have to remove the left tail light at all...

The fancier DD $60 bulbs were no brighter than the ones included, So I just put the cheaper ones in and am going to give them to a friend with a S550 Mustang, I think the clear reverse light lens would yield better results with those bulbs.

One brighter than the other

So I did this using the bulbs that Sledge recommended and the Gen5diy harness. Pretty simple, but I notice that the side with the harness (driver's side) is not as bright as the other. Minor difference and not a big deal, but I wonder if anyone else noticed this?

I also noticed that the resistor in the harness (where you mount it to the body) gets super hot as it dissipates the energy after the lights go off. So I'd say it's a good idea to make sure it doesn't touch anything else. It legitimately burned a blister on my finger. I hope it doesn't end up burning out over time...

Well, removing the tail light is not as easy as it looks... I had to use A LOT of force to get it to come out and ended up scratching my bumper.

Did manage to connect the Phastek harness and got some bright LEDs back there though...
