Got new tint (light shade) and I love it

I wanted to tint the car, but I really was tired of dark tint. Hard to see at night, trying not to get pulled over, etc. I had them put 50% on the entire car with 70% on the windshield. It is Xpel prime ceramic.

What do you guys think?

Very nice looking... Just did mine today, but went with the traditional 5% back and sides and 30% Driver/passenger

Looks great (from a distance , probably from up close as well, just messing with ya).

I went with 35% all around and 70% on the windshield (it already has 70% transparency from the factory, so I figured that'd be a total of ~50%), nighttime visibility isn't compromised at all, but yours is essentially looking OEM

Looks good, I went 35% all around (except the windshield, which has no tint), in retrospect, I wish I went 20% just on the rear window (as I have a 2SS with the "Camera-Mirror) since I don't use my rear window anyhow...

I agree with not going too dark, I think anything darker than 35% starts to impair your night vision out the windows in the darker tint... I remember back in the 80's my Dad got his '83 Grand Prix tinted (with I think 20% on sides and rear) and at night I felt like I was driving with horse blinders on (even with my 18 year old eyes!)...

35% has been great, even with my "old man eyes" at night... Great compromise, looks great but can still see out well!

My 2SS with 35%...

Brother, you're missing out on UV protection if you didn't get a tint for the windshield. At least get a 90% or 80% clear tint so your (and your passenger's) skin can stay healthier longer.

I couldn't agree more about the windshield tint. I've gone with airblue80 on the last 7-8 cars and wow what a huge overall difference it makes to the driving experience here in Florida. Even the wife won't go without it now and she can't see chit in the dark.

Looks good. I went with 50 on front windows and 35 on the rest. After all the talk about windshield I may have to look into it.

But there are no UV Rays in my garage! LOL! I don't drive the car that much (9,500 miles in 4 years) but will look into getting some light tint for the windshield, that won't mess with the HUD image, will it?

Nope, quality tint has no effect on the HUD. Mine is practically invisible, too.

I Got Xpel Prime XR Black 30% On Sides And Rears, 20% On Back And 70% Windshield. Love It, But Wish They Made A 60%/65%. Didn't Want To Risk The 55% In Front Although I'm Sure I'd Be Fine Where I Live

With that low of miles it prob doesn't matter, but my justification for doing the windshield is that is the alternative to buying a dash rug. GM does not have the best track record with cracking dashes. Have you ever seen a silverado or sierra interior from the 08-12 years I hope they improved their plastics but we won't know until the giant cracks start showing up in a few years...

My HUD seems to be working well with the XPEL tint, also. It was something I was worried about.

My car is a garage queen, definitely NOT a daily driver, I take it out for fun when I want on a nice day (9,500 mile and it hasn't seen so much as a puddle...) I'm not too worried about UV on the dash... In 4 years it has probably had a total of about 3 weeks "outdoors"...

You really should drive her more, Captain (heck, you and me both, probably, mine's been sitting in the garage for 3 weeks now---the slight advantage of not daily driving the Camaro, though, is that every drive feels so good no matter the circumstance or speeds or route).
