This cam has really worked well, incredible difference from stock with just headers, tune and CAI.
Made 486 at the wheels without all the "drama" in the valvetrain.

Just thinking about a better spring than the stock ones.

Hows your parking lot behavior? Id say the only negative to this cam is the 110. Combined with my mcleod rxt hd clutch, its become bothersome.

Texas Speed has a TSP Polished PAC .660 spring.

https://www.texas-speed.com/p-5704-t...-seatseal.aspx

I've run it for 10k miles so far with no issues. I have TFS GenX 255's with the TSP 1.72:1 roller rockers that makes my TSP VVT 3.2 cam Intake Valve Lift .657 and I rev to 6,800 to 7k rpm's frequently.

Slow speed is actually not bad, similar to stock. My tuner did a great job getting it to behave.

Wow you are brave, running .657 lift with .660 springs !
How's the piston to valve clearance ?

Actually he's over that lift with 1.72 ratio rockers not 1.7 too btw... Some people like to get the springs close to what they will be used at but for most its not so...…...And glad I have the Monster lt1s clutch, people have complained about the Mcleod stuff once to many times I have read, and I "heard" one clunking before in a vette, a sound I would not tolerate. No rattle here...….like stock. and 700 hp duty dual and $$$ wise using stock slave and their billet bearing support. But hey the Happy Dyno there of the ASA cam is just that, been around..... but hey its good cam, though I got with about the exactly same mods on a load bearing Mustang dyno tuned by the best around here 491 hp and 448 torque off the TSP cam 235/239 back when it had .639 and .623 lift and 110 LSA and he thought it was exceptionally good being with dual mode exhaust and electric power steering ...also.

It came out higher than the Night fury cams readings as it speced out higher in lift etc.... But hey Dynos are just measuring devices a tool for further mods, dyno jets more happy.... TSP still sells the 235 /239 cam though they reworked the intake lift as the .675 springs were as the higher lift springs are more brittle the higher you go and they could have gotten by with lessor springs and do now...…...from people who broke them having input back into TSP and its cool. Getting springs for far in excess of the lift you need will only result in a noisier valve train IMO and I know...…and increase the drama Good Luck.

I think thats a good move. You cant go wrong using exactly what the cam manufacturer recommends. Funny that the pole results show the most popular brand as the winner regardless of the cam makers spring recommendations.

I think the pole is probably based on those BTR Platinums having such a good track record in so many applications. I also think many people are skimming right past the relatively modest lift specs on this cam. Agree with the above - go with what your cam manufacturer recommends!

I have the same Howard’s cam. Car made great power. What’s everybody getting numbers wise out of this cam. I’m probably going to be sending my heads off to Texas Speed to get them ported as well as put some new valve springs, lifters, and trays while they are off. The thought of switching it up to a custom cam has come across mind. But the set up we have works really well. Just looking for a lil more on top of what we currently get. Still has stock TB, and Stock IM as well.
