Since I already have a set of black wheels for winter, I am looking for something different for the other seasons, like this from OE Creations PR126 Z28 (Phasetek). Opinions are welcome:

Those are beautiful rims, I went for the MRR version of those, but in black. I don’t think you can go wrong.

Same as 1LE offsets: 20mm front and 43mm rear. Some wheel sets come with 23mm offset up front, which seems to fit fine, especially if you don't have MRC dampers. I actually run 5mm spacers on my 23mm front 19x10 MRRs, but I also put extended studs in my front hubs to accommodate that. You can just get away with the stock studs if you use spacers no thicker than 5mm, but again you shouldn't need spacers at all to run 23mm offset up front.

BTW: Love the silver with the black wheels, that was my runner up choice.

Thanks for your input!

When it comes to offsets generally I believe within 4mm difference is ok, much over 5+mm and it becomes a problem. But it also depends on the car/year/trim/features as others have mentioned. 1LE's have the 6-pack front brake system which is bigger than our standard 4 piston brakes. That in itself can cause some concern where offsets are involved. But as you don't have the 1LE like me, You should be fine with the 23 offset, it might be a problem if you had the 1LE 6 piston brake system on the front in addition to what Msquared mentioned regarding the Magnetic Ride which only comes on 1LE's or as an option.

The important thing when it comes to tires, do your research. Some people swear by certain brands, others like myself. I'm experienced with Eagle F series tires, so I trust them, and I know their performance level. The Eagle SC3R (Another tire you don't use in rain) actually has a better rating on track use than most other brands with notable exception to the Michelin tires I believe, but that performance margin is negligible at best.

This video gives you a pretty good idea of where the top tire choices are in terms of performance. With exception to Michelin which I haven't found a video for yet with the horsepower range these are being tested at. Note: These tires are probably more suited for straight runs and not so much turn races. Again these tires you probably do not want to use in rain, and they don't last long and wear out fairly quickly within 6000 miles I believe.

As I mentioned before I chose SC3's because I'm used to them. They have a 180-220 tread wear, and at my hp level, it is easy to spin them, but if you ease into it like they say in this video, they work at 305 width. The SC3's are also better in rain/wet roads similar to the Michelins but I think Michelins have a slightly higher rating in wet performance. Probably better if I went to 315's and since I'm interested in drag racing and not turn racing, I would probably throw on the R888R's when I go to the strip.

Let me just make one addition, this is an older (although very good) video, since then Nitto has released the 555RII that is considered even better, and, as an added bonus, quieter and more rain friendly than the original 555R tested here.

By the way, those Toyos sound like a vacuum cleaner attached to an already loud monster truck, you won't want to drive on those on the street. Not sure about the MTs, I never had them.

I and many others have fit 19x10 et23 MRR wheels to our 1LEs without spacers, and they don't touch the strut. 20x10 et23 should have even more clearance. I would definitely not run more than 5mm spacers without longer studs, but 3mm spacers would be zero issues at all.
