This is a V8 muscle car that you guys want keep quiet? That’s laughable. Don’t be an idiot driving around your neighborhood and no on will complain.
I can only hope you don't work a client facing or customer service job.

We, as in, quite a number of people just on this forum (you can look it up in the AWE and other misc threads), want an additional, manual, individual preference-based control over the exhaust sound, one that requires near 0 research and development from AWE (because they already offer valves in their exhaust solutions for other cars).

Their automatic 180 technology is great and innovative, their exhaust sounds fantastic, but customers want more/different. The correct answer to this is not "there is zero reason" and "don't be an idiot"... "and no one will complain" but "let's see if we can give these customers what they want at a reasonable cost/benefit" and then rake in the money.

Test drove a couple NPP SS Camaros. I got a non NPP one. The S-type in my opinion is a bit louder and sounds meaner. I wouldn't have wanted any louder. I've "heard" the ATAK is louder and doesn't sound as good. S-type is loud enough. Wouldn't want any louder. Car is all stock. Zero regrets with the S-type.

Has anyone tried the Flowmaster American Thunder NPP? The video clip sounds pretty good.

Seems to sound good. I don't have track mode on my LT1. Maybe it won't matter.

I went with the Borla S-Type axle back with 0 regrets. If deep and throaty is what your looking for, S-Type or MBRP would be the way to go.

Here’s a little snip but I got driving around with a Go-Pro Hero 7 of my S-Type.

Guy I talk to has it on his car. Itís not a bad system if you donít want to slash out big $ on the other brands.

I don't want to spend the money for the NPP and would be fine with a non NPP if it will work on my car.

I have a Solo Performance axleback and I like it. It's louder over the NPP and has bigger tips. I have all cats but later I'll delete the secondary cats once the warranty is up to make it a little louder. No drone in cabin and good price.

I've heard a MBRP axleback it's louder over the stock NPP and the cheapest out of all mostly. If you go that route just get the stainless version since the price is pretty cheap. The only reason I didn't go with it was because I didn't like the way the drone tubes hang down a little lower than the rest of the exhaust. To me the way the Solo looks it just looks cleaner in that aspect and I didn't want to spend 700 or 800 on an axleback and that fit the bill. I would recommend Borla Atak. I have that on my c6 grand sport fbo it sounds awesome.

That was on my 1SS. Didn’t want the atak as I prefer a more subdued performance sound. I could not stand the stock non-NPP sound. GM has always had what I call “belching into a beer can” sound. The S-Type cured that with a nice sound at start up & a healthy roar at WOT with just the right dB at cruise.

The NPP is the best factory sounding exhaust GM has made in a looooong time. With headers & cat delete it sounds pretty nasty (good way) & I will probably not touch it.

I traded it in for my ZL1.

With many of my cars i just had my shop cut in some flow masters and that easy and cheap. They say can't do it with my 2021 LT1.

Flowmaster has several setups for Camaros. I'm considering one for NPP.

I have one. Wouldnít recommend it. The flapper on the npp valve came off and is jammed in the exhaust. Making a warranty claim was a pain and now they arenít responding.

My plan is to go non NPP. I never play with my NPP as it stays on loud all the time.
