Going to try it myself soon if the weather ever dries out, hard to believe though.

Since I put my new valve covers on, I can hear the lifters more than ever with what I always think is a tick. I even contacted my LS guru and he told me they are noisy and not to worry to much about it. I'll be trying this in a few weeks when I go to change oil.

Just changed my oil, forgot to prefill the filter, so I just left a 1/2 quart out. They still seem noisy, so we will see if it goes away tomorrow when I drive it.

Bo, even with the Paxton I don't see why your warranty will be voided. The LS3 has GM manufactured LS9 roots blowers offered so seeing as that's a direct bolt on power adder and you haven't gone with any internal mods you might want to keep calling around for a dealer that's dealt with a situation like yours before. You might just get lucky

I've got a buddy that owns a Chevy dealership. If I could get it warrantied it would already have been taken care of. Besides, my lifters are fine now.

Also had some minor lifter noise with mine. I let GM do my first LOF at 1,000km (600 miles) but when I did my own second L of I switched to Pennzoil Ultra and I've not had a noise since. I just did another LOF on it (3rd in 6 mos) and it's still quiet so I'm wondering if the type of oil also plays a part?

I'm no expert and I'm just sharing my experience before all the Mobile 1 folks start yelling.

Interesting. I thought same but wasn't sure. I am also running 1/4 to 1/2 low....oil pressure seems more consistent at hot idle.

Do you hear the tick from inside the car?
