They're asking 65k. its been on the lot for 2 or 3 months. I found one in my color (SIM) for 60K brand new out of town on line.
Found another white Z W/O A/C brand new 10 miles on ODO for 53k, but no way could I live without AC. The tires are $550 to replace, cheapest I've found on line. Those Trofeos might last 5k miles, maybe. Like slicks with just a tad of tread...LOL. The freakin carbon brakes are SERIOUS! But with the new 2016 SS coming out, selling Zs just got real difficult. They had like 6 Z06 autos there. Run 10.90s bone stock after break in. That's a BAD RIDE. The salesman I was talking to has been there for 25 years. Really knowledgeable, easy to work with car enthusiast. Said he's had 3 people trading in Porsches so far for a new Z06 auto. A 911, a Cayman, and a Panamerica. Said that has never happened before this new Z06. Oh and get this....he gave me some hot scoop. There will be a mid engined 4 wheel drive mass produced corvette in the next 4 years or less. He goes to corporate functions now and then. It is in R & D now. Last edited by polizzio; 12-18-2015 at 04:32 PM. |

I think the Trofeos are really great. I have driven them in 40s with rain and they were 400% better than the goodyear F1's on my ZL1. I have ~700 miles on them now all in the past 30 days. (NOV/DEC)
Personally, I am surprised you drove it at all... It doesn't really sound like you intended to buy it... I did not even drive mine before I signed the paperwork.... The car would be better with a HUD and backup camera IMO. |

And i agree about the backup camera....there was a red Stingray behind me when I reparked the Z coming back. Barry trusts me. But its all about weight with the Z. Last edited by polizzio; 12-19-2015 at 07:59 AM. |

Not sure why you are not buying. Get this car already. I never test drove mine. I just knew.

I test drove mine before buying only because the salesman asked me if I wanted to. I was so damn excited just looking at it, I had to get behind the wheel. I knew the moment I saw it I was taking it home though.
Polizzio, you won't regret it. First thing I would do is get that damn Ross Downing sticker off the back. Jesus, why do dealers insist on doing that to high end cars? Leave that shit to the econo-boxes.

Same here. Actually flew half way cross country, signed the paper work, got in the car and drove it home, TX to NJ, 3 day journey ill never forget.
As for the OP, if the tires have you worried, I have 8,000 on my Trofeos and think they will go to 10K, easy street miles. Plenty of people here have swapped for better street rubber with great everyday driver results. Good luck with your decision. |
