Red face Free OnStar basic package for 3 years

So yeah. Heard from a friend of mine who drives a Volt that OnStar basic is available for free for 3 years. Just press the blue button and talk to a rep, and they sign you up.

I just did it. Completely free. They don't even ask for a credit card.

OnStar's website says it's for a pre-owned vehicle 2011 or newer. They sent me an email, but I haven't tried it yet.

I got the 3 years free today. I bought the car new, and never had OnStar before.

it also says 3 years free basic. I just got it for the 2012 Silverado I just bought. It works on 2011 GM pre owned vehicles. If you buy a used 2011 or newer GM you get navigation and accident for 3 mon then you get the cell phone app for free for 3 years.

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

Can't say I've ever used OnStar. Has anyone actually used it?

The basic doesn't have Automatic Crash Response. IMO that's the most important feature. At least that's the one my wife is concerned about. Remote start is great and free for 3 years.
