GTR owner switching to ZL1 1LE, discount question
I’m on my second GTR. And it has lost its luster for me. There is no driving emotion involved, and feels a bit boring. Being a 2014, I feel my interior is prehistoric also. I found a ZL1 1LE near me, it’s white, what should I negotiate to if any? Not sure if they are going under MSRP, if so how much? What about ordering one? Any tips would be great.

If buying cash...
Offer to write check on the spot - for $500 down and remainder on delivery if they give you agreeable deal "today". At minimum attempt to use Costco or USAA buying program pricing. It is usually BELOW invoice. You can research it. My tactic is to start w/ 12% OFF. Cash offer. No financing involved. Clean deal. Settle and buy if they get you to 7-8% off msrp. Plus any factory incentives ON TOP of that!

Really depends on the market where you're at. Quite of few have been going for mid-sixties. Mine's a '17 so not a 1LE but ZL1s were really scarce in the northeast last year. I still made a deal on mine with a dealer in MA 4 hours away for invoice, plus I had a $3k off private offer from GM, and I also brought my '13 ZL1 vert in trade. So there are dealers out there willing to deal.

Costco auto buying program is a great solution. Also, you can get supplier discount code by joining the Corvette museum.

Google up the 'Chevrolet Conquest' incentive too, its for Mustang owners switching to a Camaro of any kind. Its a $2,000 discount here in Miami!

Good tips guys. Too bad I don’t have a Costco. Dealer said best they can do is $1000 off, because the car is so “rare”. Which I think is a joke since they have had it for months.

You will be pleased. I had a 2014 BE FBO and E85 with Michelins and Advan GT etc...
When I sold my F10 M5 I initially wanted to go back until my buddy got a 17 ZL1. The GTR still has the unique cool factor and AWD, but it is officially dated after driving his Z. I never looked back nor after 3 weeks regret my decision.

Yea. I agree. The GTR has the cool factor, but end of the day it’s almost a 10 year old design. I have advan GT FBO e85 also. I’ll offer the dealer 64k cash take it or leave it and move on.

And I don't think it's possible to get the MSRP on a standard ZL1 up to $73.5k. I put everything on mine including floor mats, indoor cover, battery charger, and other small add ons (Plus PDR/Carbon/Nav etc.) and it was $70.5k. So is that a ZL1 1LE? |
