So far so good with the Range again this morning. I ordered the power male/female cable to mount it and be able to shut it off when I done driving...now I see that they have the exchange program for not only the newer FW ones but also for different colors, Red would nice instead of the standard blue.

So when you have to replace the clutch do you blame the TR6060? The issue is not the A8, the problem is the torque converter does not like all slipping programed into the TCM so the transition from V8 to V4 is more transparent. It was a huge mistake on GM's part. They would of been better off to program it like the L99 5th gen engine so you physically feel it jerk in and out. One thing we know is slipping causes heat and burns up clutch packs. GM is never going to admit this...they will say oh its the fluid or we updated the converter, which wont fix the issue as long as the Converter is programmed to slip when cruising.

All that being said, I would talk to the dealership about having the car tuned by a reputable shop to address the TCC slip tables. Keep in mind if you already experienced shudder issues then likely tuning will not fix the issue. You will need to replace the converter and or transmission and start fresh.

In the end I still wouldn't of purchased a M6 6th gen Camaro because you have a manual transmission that is programmed with non-removable Torque Management on the ECM side. You can have that shit...Ill take my chances with the A8 and you M6 guys can continue rowing your torque managed gears. lol

Very well said King. Couldn’t agree more.

Fix the TCC tables. GMs strategy to go with light line pressure and allow any slip is flawed. On a stock TC you won’t notice any change in feel.

The problem with that is that is voids your warranty, would love to do it, but not voiding my warranty.

Unfortunately, as I understand from all the info available at the moment, this means you'll see the shudder make repeat appearances and require torque converter replacements. Then you'll have to "time" the last failure to happen just before your warranty goes out and get the car tuned while the last converter is still new or at least untainted. Catch-22.

Yeah I get that, sucks, but I plan on keeping this car until the next gen shows up, the A8 will never be a long term reliable unit, so hoping for another 3 years or so. Mine is acting up again so it is going in within the week or so. I started using my Range again because of the crappy driveability of this transmission and plan on using from day 1 if they end of replacing the TQ or whatever work is needed again this time.
