Since you have the Internet as you said, go to Chevy.com and build a 2016 2SS with NPP, Brembos, ground effects etc and come back and show me how affordable it is. The one I built was over $50,000. That's just silly,

And yes, the 2SS models at my dealership are mid 40's and they aren't anything special. They may have a few nice options, but aren't loaded by any means.

Also, regardless if the cars are worth the money or not mechanically speaking is irrelevant. They are marketed toward a demographic, many of which can't afford to buy anything other than the basic models.
So the market will decide whether they are priced too high or not and IMO they are, but time and numbers will tell.

PS: I'm taking my 1Le for its first service tomorrow.
Hopefully the dealer has some of these left on the lot which I suspect they will at the prices they are asking, and I'll take some picturee of some window stickers.
No one here cares for pictures of Camaro window stickers on your dealers lot, you should spend your time doing something constructive....

Its clear you're simply here to justify your purchase of a 2015 in your "closed" mind. You're comments, justifications, pricing statements, and overall attitude is very transparent. Be happy you got your 2015, enjoy your car, and have fun in the 5th gen forums, mods are banning members pitting 5th and 6th gens against each other in these childish posts, and hope they see this thread and get rid of the nonsense.

My theory is that they got lazy on the overall design(exterior) and while it is quicker it doesn't have anywhere near the same WOW factor that the 5th gen had. When I first saw the 5th gen, I didn't care what the performance specs were because it had a presence, the 6th does not have this presence. I still can't get over how ugly the rear end is...
That's subjective. It has more WOW factor to me and after tonight, I sure many more will feel the same as I do.

If you really need to educate yourself on the gen6 car, and you will see that GM was far from Lazy with the design of this car. It's a work of art.

Here is a 2SS on the same lot with dual mode. Also has garbage looking "premium wheels".
It's $46,000

http://mobile.landerschevrolet.com/d...-14792504.html

And one more 2SS on the same lot. Again mid $40,000

http://mobile.landerschevrolet.com/d...-14680778.html

So after gap, any extended warranty tax, title and license, you we looking at close to or over 50 grand for these 2SS cars, which again I say, isn't affordable to a sizable part of the target demographic. Not being a hater here, just being honest.

Oh and when I see the 2017 V8 1Le at "41-42" like someone posted above, I'll eat crow. I'll bet it's much higher.

This dude is a pure troll, don't feed him. Remembers he's the one who got another thread locked. He owns a gen5 and does nothing but talk crap about the gen6.

Troll on guy...

LMAO this comment is hilarious, thank you for the laugh. I liked the 5th gen when it came out too, but to say the 6th gen lacks presence...

FYI- Strange that your avatar has two 6th gens....especially since the 5th gen has more presence!

In the very links you provided... you claim first one is "over 50 grand" but it clearly states $47k.
The second one you claim $46k clearly says $43k.
The third one you claim "mid $40,000" clearly says $41k.

Wtf are you even talking about?

I actually like the looks of the 6th gen better, especially with a rally stripe package.

Let's take it a step further... from the exact dealership website he was quoting, here's the breakdown of all their Gen 6 Camaros.

He must be adding in being upside down in his loan. He brought up gap in his one post. I guess GM was supposed to allow for that. Haha!

My 2SS with NPP and Nav was $41k and honestly I think I could have done better if I had held off and negotiated a bit more but it was EXACTLY what I wanted and the only one in the state and maybe only 2 in the country. So I think you could get a 2SS without NPP and Nav for $40k or maybe less.

The only car I could think of that I would (and did) personally consider in that price range with similar features and specs would be the Premium Mustang GT. I looked at that one and could of gotten one for $36k probably. That being said to me personally the Camaro was worth the price premium.

However I find the whole price conversation rather amusing because if anyone has probably thought about the price of the Camaro at length and probably done a TON of research on it you would think it's GM. Not Joe Schmo on an internet forum.

Performance bang for your buck IMO the price can't be beat. I am a bit nervous about the interior, a few nicer materials here and there can go a long way towards making a premium feel.

I will be test driving sooner than later to get a first hand look.

With all the technology and materials that goes into these cars, do you expect the prices to be cheaper?

Considering the technology and material added to the 6 gen not worth the price increase that they raised it by Fully option 2 LT 5gen to a same option 6gen about 6k+ difference abit much of a increase if you ask me (options ground effect, sunroof, blade spoiler, rs package, premium color, red accent trim and rally stripes) out of the 6k+ they want about 3k Convenience and lighting package that includes heads up display and heated adjustable body color mirror auto dimming that was standard on the 5gen 2LT

Sales of the 6th gen camaro in my coastal bend area of Texas are dismal. I've yet to see one on the city or county roads. 5th gens are more prevalent here, and a friend got an RS recently for a good price. I want to "encounter" a 6th gen experience myself but may have to go "test drive" one to even get the "feeling".
