I haven't noticed this issue, but I haven't been using the A/C much. Once summer kicks in, I'll know for sure.

I picked up a piece of Black Dahlia rubber baseboard from Lowe's for $1.89. The great thing about it is the curved lip that tucks perfectly in-between the dash and windshield. This piece is a bit lighter than the dashboard (in the pic the car is also has the sun) but it it's hardly noticeable and likely less so to those that don't know what it is. It's also long enough for two pieces, in case you want one for testing and one to "dress up" a bit.

It might not be perfect but hey, $2 fix and much easier than fanangling a microfiber towel into this space. I'll probably just keep it there unless I actually need to defrost.

I found it at Home Depot for only a little more money but it is working for me. The only issue I have is the outgassing of the vinyl on the area of the windshield. I can live with that as it does not interfere with visibility like the condensation does.

Here is a new twist... my 2SS did the window fog thing last night and my car wasn't even on. I was at the beach for some early fireworks. The car sat for about 4 hours, it wasn't humid at all. I live in So. Cal. and when I got back in to drive home, the window fog was there. It was cold to the touch, so it's not just the vent foam, it has to have something to do with the new R1234YF refrigerant. Something is leaking because just the cold air wouldn't do this on its own.

So ultimately, what can we do once our warranty runs out? I had my dealership do the service on mine, and it's still doing it (high humidity with temp set at 73 or lower).

If we've shown that it's a problem during the first 36/36, then why shouldn't we be able to pursue GM for a fix after our initial warranty runs out?

I took mine in for the TSB for this issue and it still does it. They pulled the windshield and replaced it to perform the TSB. Next step would probably require dash removal which I'm not interested in. I'm a service advisor and have seen what can happen there.

How bad is the fogging? I ask because I've seen it happen once or twice and it's usually a small patch in the center just above the vents. It was not bothersome at all. Is the fogging that people are experiencing covering most of windshield, or just that center area?
