Here in Texas, we can tint the windshield, it can't be very dark, but it can be done, I haven't seen anybody with it done. From Texas DPS web site......1. A clear (un-tinted) UV film is allowed anywhere on the front windshield without a medical exemption being required.
I am getting this done next week Wednesday, I'll post results in the Texas section of this forum.

I used VHT hi-temp flat black paint from Advanced Auto Parts. But any flat black paint for metal would work. This was a low tech job! I put some old socks over the exhaust tips. Then I laid on my back and sprayed the bottom of the muffler. Easy peasy!

Hey man,

Now that some time has passed, have you noticed any peeling, chipping, or other issues with the paint? Is it holding up to the heat ok? I would love to see some more pics if you have time. I think I will be doing this eventually.
