good driving roads near Atlanta?
New to Atlanta live in Kennesaw haven't been able to find any great roads that I can really open up the 1le, can't just drive hard once a month at a track. Any places you like within an hr? esp love long sweeping turns with less police presence

You should head up to Northern GA in the mountains and over into NC/TN...lots of awesome roads over in the Smokies! Western NC and eastern TN is my favorite!

Look up Hwy 19/60 north of Dahlonega. I'll come out on the back side of Blue Ridge. That's an awesome road.

from georgia just head towards Tennessee ? 75 etc?

I really want to find some good roads within kennesaw atlanta ? i just get stop lights traffic and cops!

Im used to driving through the canyons in socal, nice fwys at certain hours I have to myself etc ! just looking looking

Dude, go north up to helen GA and then over to Cherokee and jump on the Blue ridge Parkway. Might not be open until closer to spring but you will find some great driving up there about 2 hours north of you. Take your girl and spend the night around Helen. Its super cool.

If you are coming from Atlanta, take 19 up into NC, hit 74 around Murphy area and take 74 to Robbinsville area...look up the Tail of the Dragon, which starts in NC and goes into TN...or look up the Cherahola Skyway, head into TN and take the Dragon into NC, take Hwy 28 (the Hellbender), and loop around on the Skyway and head back home. Would be an overnight trip, but just an awesome area, roads and awesome and mountains are beautiful...there are a ton of roads around there, I am already planning for some road trips coming up soon, especially the weather has been great! Let me know if you want more specifics, I know the area real well.

A great place to stay off of 28, right down the road from the beginnjng of the Dragon is Fontana Village Resort, go there all the time.
