In Southern Ontario we have 3 tracks that we can go to, we should have more but no community wants one in their backyard, so we have a huge car culture with 3 tracks. From where I live it is almost a 3 hour drive to any of these tracks, I have maybe 30 passes down the track with my cars and have many more days spend watching than racing. I know we tend not to talk about street racing but that is what we would spend most of our time doing, when we were growing up in the 80's till about 2005 I would spend most of my weekends racing or out with my friends racing their cars. I would beat many people who had a faster car with my Mustangs or my Cutlass because they didn't know how to drive. We had shops in the area that would build cars to compete in the street races that were going on in this time. In 2008 or about this time the provincial government brought in a law that if they caught you going more than 50km over then you would have your car taken and you would be charged with Street Racing to try and tackle the issue of street racing, and now the racing is reduced and the soccer moms and old ladys get charged with racing LOL.

I had a guy call my out on Youtube when I told him his 2016 Dodge Ram crew cab 4x4 didn't run 13.6 stock. He then tried to tell me it went 12.5 @ 120 after headers a tune and exhaust with a 100 shot. The truck weighs 6000lbs or so. He had no vids or any proof of anything. After I gave him some factual numbers he stopped posting. His times vs hp and weight didn't add up.

Funny my nephew is from Alliston and we would go down to the street races around Pine Valley, Hwy 50, Hwy 10 at the weigh scales and all over Brampton area. You can see us driving around in our Challengers now once and a while.

Went to the 1/8 mile track tonight and got a chance to race a Scat Pack .. Both cars had no tune or any power mods .. We both had drag radials on the rear and stock tires on the front .. So I would call it a very very fair race .. He ran a 7.79 to my 7.75 ..His was at 90 MPH and I was at 91.98 .. I lost the race because he cut a killer lite on me ..It was very close even with his great lite , I was pulling back on him very very slowly but just ran out of track .. I talked with him for a good bit and he told me his best at the 1/4 mile track was a 12.20 ..I told him my best was a 12.01 so far .. From what I saw the Camaro Back half's better than the dodge .. I was impressed with the dodge in the 1/8 mile that it ran as strong as it did will all that weight ..
My best pass ever at this track was a few weeks ago 7.67 @ 92 MPH .. My best pass tonight was my first pass of the night at a 7.71 .. The track prep was a bit iffy and both our 60 foots were slower than normal ..Both of us suffered a bit of wheel spin but not to bad .. Now when the 1320 comes out to play I'm pretty sure it will out run my Camaro ..With it's lighter weight and trans brake and drag shock settings I think it will have my Camaro covered in the 1/4 mile ..Pretty cool of dodge to build it but the car is going to be over 50k ? For that price I'd be looking at a low mileage used hell cat or a ZL1 .. |

I picked up a new 1320 Friday . So far I love it ! trying to get 500 miles on it real quick so the PCU will turn on the line lock and Trans Brake ..I'll get to the track as soon as I can and get some numbers to post ..Will it run 11.70s ? Well I have no clue ..Problem is the DA sucks right now in FL , 80s and high humidity ..Mine has the rear seat delete and curb weight is said to be 4200 pounds ..Drag racing from 1971 to 2019 in all kinds of race cars and bikes I have a pretty good butt dyno and I can tell you this 1320 runs very strong car ..In drag mode the trans shifts very very quick and very hard, it makes the stock a8 in the Camaro trans feel like and old sloppy power glide ..Throttle is very touchy in any mode were as the Camaro throttle felt mushy.. The car handles very well with 275 Drag Radials on all for corners .. The car doesn't feel heavy but we all know it is ...Now I don't road race so I can talk about that but for me it's just fine ..Hell the only turn I make is at the end of the tack to get onto the return road lol The car has way more options than my 1SS has and the SS had way more options than my 2015 Mustang had .. Still the price for all that wasn't bad .. Sticker was 46k+ and I got them down to 42,388 .. They tell me the cars will be limited numbers being built and so far not selling well because a lot of people just don't know about the car ..I don't think you are going to see a lot of them on the street or the drag strip for that matter ..Mine was on the lot for 4 weeks before I got it and the dealer ( pretty large dealership ) is not going to order any more of them ..I have been asked 10 times so far from car guys " what is that the 1320 emblem mean on the car ? " did you put that on the car ? .. Really I have to tell drag racers what 1320 means ?
