Considering all the options for jacking points on our cars, why choose the middle of a crossmember?

Where the cross members meet the rails is obviously stronger than the middle.

And please, please, never use an aluminum differential housing as a jacking point!!!!

Jack Fab is the vendor that makes the pads to avoid crushing the pinch welds on the side I thought but hey, I could be wrong I don't see it on their website , I recall a magnetic one that was handy some one made on here for like $20 a set.

http://jacfab.com/ was a sponsor on here for along time. I like their license plate holders. here a thread on jacking pads

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=414546

seen a few places make nice pads.. good luck https://www.bing.com/search?q=camaro...FORM=QBRE&sp=3

Just don't ever jack a car up on a slanted driveway. Even if you block the wheels and set the emergency brake. Also put a piece of plywood under your jack so it don't sink into the blacktop. And always put a jack stand under for extra safety.

Even if I jack up my car on my lever black top I put a piece 1/2 plywood under it. I learned the hard way when the jack sunk into the blacktop and left 4 sunken wheel holes.

The safest location for changing tires is to do one corner at a time using the pinch welds at locations shown in the Owners Manual.

I've used the rear differential twice a year since I bought it. Never had an issue. Swap my summer and winter rims on quickly and easily. Front center lifts front end Read diff lifts rear end. Done.
