Gains are 25-30whp with a much fatter torque curve. You lose about 3mpg but the cost difference compared to 93 octane still makes it cheaper to run by a few bucks per tank. I say it's very worth it...smells better, burns cleaner, makes more power.

Seriously though, E85 is great. Makes the LT1 a torquey bastard. I average around 15mpg in LA traffic, but get 18-19 with more highway driving.

well guess I may have to get on board ...only a few stations that have it my area.
25--30 WPh is big , but even 1/2 that would be something you could feel I guess

It’s worth the effort and time. Grab a sensor to get started and than get it tuned.

I was quoted $575 for a tune, here in Denver. I plan to do SW headers with the E85 next, then get the tune. Is $575 reasonable or what have folks being paying for an E85 tune?

These LT1 engines are incredible on E85... Definitely worth the mod and cost, you won't be disappointed.

I think I paid 400$ for the part and 750$ for a tune.

Why are yall paying so much for a tune? The kit is only like $200 and $100 to install and I got my retune for $100. Total $400

You said retune. If it hasn’t been tuned yet they still have to tune a gas tune first then do a e85 tune.

Like one of the other members said, the tuner is tuning for a flex-fuel kit which means I can go full 91 or full E85 at any time. GPTuning, Matt, is a GM guru here in the Bay Area. So paying that much isn't something you think about in terms of the accuracy and quality of the tune.

I don’t know on NA engines but they the lt4 you can’t get full E with mods. The 1LE has the lt4 low side pump but not the high side. Something to look into

I wish there was more E85 stations where I live because I would love to run it. Closest station to me is about a hour away though.
