I can't hear fans running from the inside of the car. At least mine are quiet

Not a troll.

The noise is clearly the SC...engine keeps running, but I am not accelerating. It is not the fans...unless there are jet fans under the hood.

As far as I can tell the car is stock, except for the two mods that I installed after these two occasions: CAI and SC reservoir.

As stated, I found the coolant a little low (1/2 cup) two weeks ago and that is when I found a pierced SC coolant return line...that I taped up with silicone. If there were any air pockets I have expelled them with the installation of the reservoir.

I have not been able to reduplicate this symptom (which occurred only twice in 50 full throttles) since the installation of the reservoir two days ago.

So the question remains: will air pockets in the SC coolant system wreak havoc such as this?

No. It will only cause higher IAT2 temps.

Ok, thanks. If it occurs again I'll try to get more info.

Hard to say whats going on but what you are describing "vaguely" reminds me of an extreme cat failure. Makes the engine boost really high and doesn't respond at all under boost (very loud and slow) but drives around fine at idle. Had an LSJ that did this at 600 miles. Good luck!

Wouldn't that throw a code? No codes.

Also, only 3,400 miles on it.

Is there a vacuum actuated diaphragm/solenoid? There is on my heartbeat. I think it's a bypass

That could be the culprit? Abruptly actuating when it shouldn't?

That's why I was asking him about his vac/boost gauge. He described it as normal. Well, maybe when it wasn't happening. Someone with knowledge of this car is going to have to troubleshoot this for him on the car itself. He's using confusing terminology to try to explain what's happening. Not bashing him, he may be new to the car. And not so mechanically inclined.

Sounds like it's sticking occasionally...its made to work abruptly by design. On and off

It's the random that's hard to diagnose ...if I was throwing parts at it that's where I'd start

I've never tried it. But someone go out while the engine is running and close the valve by hand. See what it sounds like. Just a thought. Maybe that's what he's describing?

And my LSJ had 600 miles on it.
