Need help with new tires and rims!

Hello everybody! Been a while since I have been on this site due to me having to sell my 2013 Camaro. But, I have great news...I just bought a 2014 2SS with only 15K miles on it!!! And now, I get to MOD IT! I want to put new tires and wheels on it and have size questions. I am thinking 9 inch wheels on the front and 10 inch wheels on the rear. The rear tire size I am thinking about going with would be either 305's or 315's. The front tire size I am unsure about but would like to go bigger than the stock 245's. If I went with these size rims, what would be the biggest tire size that I could get away with on the front without having any rubbing problems?

I’ve had 275s on 8.5s without issues in the front. I just bought a square setup though, 9.5s all around, but I’m staying with 275s all around. My 1le had 285s all around OEM, never a rubbing issue. The z28s are 305s, but those are 19” wheels. That’s all I got. Subscribing to see how wide you can go upfront on 20s

BRUKSHOT, I got your message so check your inbox. I went to staggered 20 x 9 front and 20 x 10 in back and 275 in front and 315s in back. Congrats.

Excellent choice...although I may be a little bias since I also have those exact same wheels on mine. I went with 275/40-20's up front, but got a set of 305/35-20's for the rear (mostly because there aren't as many options available in 315's).

I'm lowered about 1.25", but here is how the 305's look:

BEE: On my 2013 I had the same setup as you. 275/40/20's on the front and 305/35/20's on the rear. But, I did not lower my 2013 and do not plan on lowering my 2014. So, I decided to go with the 315's this time around on 20x11's. Here are some pics of my 2013 for your "viewing pleasure"...(HaHa...Ripped that of from David Letterman)

Having to sell it was the worst thing in my life. It was the perfect muscle car. But, family comes first.

I've got the Michelin Pilot 4S on my Z/28. Great tire but warm weather only. You may want to look at their 4 A/S version for your cold climate.

Yeah, I decided and ordered Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 all seasons for it. I live up here in the frozen tundra...LOL!

In the Tire section there is a thread that lists all of the recommended tire sizes depending on width of the rim.
