I don't think NASCAR can do anything about it. Harry Gant from many years ago used to put a 4"x4" in the side by the bars and do it. Check some of the old races in the late 60's - 80's. NASCAR made the rule no more wood in the bars.
Or how's about the pass in the grass by Dale sr. It takes balls to try, and he did it. 3 Chevys and a Toyota.

I was there on Sunday. The crowd went nuts, I went nuts, My buddies went nuts. Everyone's first reaction was "what the hell did we just witness?" lol It was so odd to see a car running that fast against the wall. The video replays look like Ross was on Fast Forward while everyone else was normal speed

Yes, I had said earlier that his time was the NASCAR cup record lap, but the Modifieds had the track record.

Can confirm, that is definitely the fastest way around the track in Gran Turismo. And he executed to perfection, gliding into the wall before the turn and not crashing into it at the turn.
