SS1LE in my opinion is the best looking of all!

A nickel stands for about $15k-20k extra nowadays ? Whew, inflation is much worse than I thought.

Mod the SS which I am doing- for $15-25K I can add headers, cam, pistons, and a much better supercharger than the GM version (Whipple or Maggie) and still have some cash in my pocket.

Ditto, on the ultra budget version of this, without forged internals. Install a good blower kit on, upgrade the fuel system, keep the boost reasonable low and the octane reasonably high and have fun.

Seriously, those new nickels sure look a whole lot more like quarters to me, but have at it Hoss.

If money is not an issue here, I would go ZL1.

I am not a car mod person, and well, that factory warranty is worth something when you need it.

I had a 2011 SS with Whipple, Kooks header, full exhaust, CAI,CBI tuned and drag radials. Dynoed 646 at the rear wheels and consistently ran in the 10's but it handled like a pig and anything over 150 would scare the crap out of you (floating comes to mind)
My 2022 ZL1 might not have the same throw you back feeling but it's close. When it comes to handling there is no comparison!

You are comparing a 5th gen SS to a 6th gen ZL1. Unlike your 2011, the 6th gen SS is built on the same architecture and is very, very good, even in terms of handling (and especially in 1LE form).

Agreed with Arpad, a 5th gen SS or ZL1 handles terrible when compared to a 6th gen SS or 6th gen ZL1.

What’s these guys just said. The base of the zl1 is solid. So much power to be made from that platform.
