100,000 Mile 6th gen

Hello everyone, I’m coming up on 100,000 miles on my supercharged 2016 Camaro ss and wanted to share a couple things I’ve experienced along the way. It’s been supercharged for about 30,000 of those miles.

Supercharger is a lt4 blower and had a 2.30 upper on it. It has had the stock lt1 fuel system on it the entire time and made about 530whp on a mustang dyno.

Long story short my low side pump started to fail and i had an injector leaking. I also blew my front main seal and was slowly leaking oil for a couple days, so I replaced that as well. I ended up switching to full lt4 fuel system (hpfp, low side and injectors) and put in another lt1 front seal. The car is going in to get retuned by a new tuner in 2 days so we will see what the numbers are.

I know supercharging a stock lt1 is playing with fire, especially on stock fuel system. I know things could have gone way worse.

I recently took the car in for a compression and leak down test and i have posted the results below.

I don't think I'd bother getting it tuned until you correct whatever is killing the compression in cyl. #1

Too late... You popped the front seal. That seems to be the "turkey timer" on a supercharged LT1.

More than likely you leaned out, detonated, and broke pistons. Probably the ones with low compression.
Save your money on the tune and pull the heads.

Exactly… that’s why I made the piston comment lol

If you have 100K on a supercharged LT1 - that is really pretty incredible - kudos to you and the tuner.

:-)

30k miles of boost

I wouldn't bother trying to fix a 100k mile engine
How much are LT4's going for these days ?
