Magnuson 2650 price increases
Was looking and comparing vendor prices for the Magnuson 2650 and noticed a significant price increase on almost every vendor's site. The exact same kits were about 10% cheaper just a couple of months ago. Edelbrock 2650s and Whipple 2.9s have not seen price increases. If this is the trend, I can see the new 3100 Magnuson kits coming out in the near future at an outlandish $10K. Might have to join EDFHobbies going down the Edelbrock 2650 rabbit hole...

One of their inside guys told me end of the year for Gen 5 version of the 3.0. I’m fine with that. Should be nasty!

The 3100 is not being produced. Eaton and Magnuson both said there wasn’t enough gains to be worthwhile with the 3100 rotor pack. Kong was the first one to come out and say it.

You know I would of gotten the maggi had they not kept pushing the release date back and back. I 1st talk to them at cfest 2018 this is when all the hype was on the white car with the 2650 sticking out of the hood. I was told a released date of December/jan 2018, granted this was july/August 2018, then I was told 1st qtr 2019., which is generally march/april, next I was told Christmas 2020 so I said screw it and got the eldelbrock in October showed up in Nov 2019. I really lucked into a good deal mainly since wife had the 2300 Edelbrock add car on All girls garage. I know with all the bickering back n fourth it was comical but, in all serious the blower is every bit as good as the maggie when its ported. I just installed the IDASH banks gauges and I'm monitoring the all the IATS. I asked my tuner if i need to install the FI chiller that i have laying around and he said on 93 pump its not pulling till it hit 150 and 169 on all E I never see the IATs that high unless I leave it idling for 30 min in 100 degrees but if I drive it for 2 or 3 miles at 70 mph they fall back to where they ride just cruising. When I'm cruising on the hwy and the stereo temp reads 100 degrees my IATS read as follows.. IAT 1 100 IAT 2 108 to 110 IAT 3 126 If I do a long 3rd gear and 4th gear pull in 100 degrees I have seen the temps fall just like the maggi claims... IAT 1 100 IAT 2 falls to 99 IAT 3 falls to 124 but when I let off it rises to 134 to 136 then about 1 mile or less its back to 126 Yes I know maggie has the fastest times lol! I do not do that and I think its 99% traction not the blower you chose!

You aren't going wrong with that Edelbrock. I think most any 2650-blower is going to be a great upgrade. That Edelbrock makes overcoming fueling issues a little simpler, but it's been a proven platform since before Magnuson's. I've had my complaint, but it wasn't really ever about performance. There are threads about vendors to try. That might be a good bet.
