MSD with FI

So I'm pretty much an idiot so I'm just going to ask my stupid question. I've seen numerous people on here say they would not run a MSD under FI because they think it would leak. I'm looking at a MSD right now and I'm assuming it's because of the two piece design? My dumb question is what if you just used a torch and melted the two pieces together at the seam, essentially welding the two halves together and sealing it?

No problem with my MSD, had it upto about 14 PSI during "testing". I don't think it adds any HP though, it is just left over from my NA days.

Member 'parish8' ran his MSD to something like 20~22psi of boost I think he'd said. He has a build thread in the Member Car section, something about with twins I think it was. Have also seen a tuner mention that he'd run an MSD to 21psi of boost and it was fine.

Yep, over 20psi and over 1000hp. I needed the port injectors. I wouldn’t spend the money on one unless you need the injector bungs.

Thanks guys. I'm NA right now, just wondering if it became a throw away part after going FI but it seems if anything it just becomes a superfluous mod but not a detrimental one.
