Thanks Kaizer. She's a bit of a celebrity around these parts and I just wanted to be sure of the best way to get started.

If I can't join your TPW club hopefully I won't be far behind. I just have doubts my local dealer would be the best way to go considering I had to drive two hours out of town to get a fair deal on my current Camaro even after buying two vehicles from them prior to that. Doesn't hurt to send them an email too but I already dread the run-around I'm sure to receive there.

Yep that's what I'm thinking too. As long as I get mine before end of August I will be good (lease ends then).

Becky is a little bit of a celebrity. Lol. I remember meeting her at Camarofest last year and there was a line to talk to her. Lol

I went with Becky this time instead of my local dealer whom I've purchased 5 vehicles, including my last Camaro with after they weren't sure about custom ordering along with pricing issues.

Hoping you get to order one though!

Yep exactly why I placed my order when I did, based on laborsmith's estimates on worst case. My understanding is orders that make it to 2000 status have all the parts available (barring disasters at the plant or logistics train). It's the LPOs that get hung up more (I got RPO 5 spokes low gloss black).

2500 Order Preferenced (or "Picked Up" or "Imaged"), Sent to Production
3000 Order Accepted by Production Control
3100 Order Available to Sequence (now becomes more stable)
3300 Order Selected and Scheduled for Production by Assembly Plant (Target Production Week usually available now)
3400 Order Broadcasted for Production (Internal Plant Order Produced)
3800 Vehicle Produced

I would think 3000 like us in this TPW would mean parts available vs 2000. I could be wrong since laborsmith is more knowledgeable on this than myself.

And yeah I've got a "few" LPOs on my order so I'm expecting a lengthy wait time as well as QC hold due to being a 50th.

I think it was "past 2000" that have them available, so that would match 3000. Knew I had seen something somewhere about it.

I Agree. And I can tell you that the second (and third) dealer I met with were a completely different conversation. Once they know that you know that there is little to no mystery, they will either work with you above board, you you have to walk away and find someone else that will.

Fortunately the dealer I am working with came clean, told me they were not going to get another 2016 allocation, but they were going to get two 2017 allocations and I could have one of them. the came clean, made a promise, and delivered (so far).

I will put a plug in for Becky - even if you don't buy from her, she can still help with a manufacturers extended warranty if anyone is interested in looking at one. Knowing that she won't pad it and create even more smoke and mirrors on pricing should be a reason anyone looking for an extended warranty should talk to her. She sasy you don't have to buy the extended warranty immediately when purchasing or picking up your car.

Maybe I need to hit next year's Camaro fest up there and have her sign my dashboard...hey, it works for Burt Reynolds . I wonder if she does that standard if you order from her.
