1LE Transmission Fluid Change

Has anyone changed transmission fluid on their 1LE as part of the break-in procedure? @ 500 or 1500 miles?
I'm about to do my engine oil and diff oil change @ 1500 miles and was wondering if I needed to do the transmission too

I plan on changing the trans fluid sometime before 10,000 miles.

Yes. New fluid went in as part of the break in procedure.
Then every 24 track hrs per the manual.

I changed my tranny fluid at 15k miles, but only because I Track and AutoX my car on the regular. If it’s a DD, you are good until 50k miles for trans.

I believe the tranny is every 24 and the diff every 20 hrs but ive been doing them together every 10 track days or so. High Performance Supplement mentions 15 hrs for ZL1 A10 only and is silent wrt other models, instead directing owners to the car's regular manual where the intervals are listed for performance driving.
As i said a few times before at various threads....the manuals are one big mess!

Page 199 of the 2018 manual:
Manual Transmission Fluid
Manual transmission fluid should be changed after every 15 hours of track usage.

On the same page the diff shows 24 hours.. but yeah HP says 20.

Manuals are a mess.

I did mine at around 1500 miles, I put in some Amsoil ATF Signature Series and WOW what a huge difference. SO much nicer.

Why wouldn't you change it at break in? Cheap insurance.

Pretty sure my 2017 manual has it in reverse: 20hrs for the diff and 24hrs for the tranny

Either way the same interval for manual vs A10 doesnt seem right imo. What is also missing from all manuals is whether these intervals are counted from brand new fluids or not. In other words, seems one can put 10k miles on a car and THEN use the interval specs and still be ok. I think thats why oil has only a 4 hr spec. Clear as mud incl having to ref to 2 manuals to get a whole story...and i think much is lost "in translation" between enginnering specs per se and whoever organizes and writes these damn manuals...

Seems specific to Camaros as my Sierra and Tahoe manuals are pretty good and well organized imo.
