Price guess for black rims.
I really want the black rims but the price may be a concern. On the current model the black rim option is $2825.00. For that amount I can buy really nice after market rims and tires. The Corvette black rim option is $495.00. What do you think the option price will be for them on the 2016? Do you think it will be similar to the Corvette?

it is pretty weird that on one chevy model, it costs so much more than on another. i would guess that with gen 6, the price will come down a lot but who knows. it all depends on the reason why the vettes wheels are so much cheaper. i know the 2825$ option is because theyre straight from the zl1. does the black rim option come straight from the z06 on the vette? or it could be different materials that makes the black wheels on the vette cost so much less.

$2815 would buy a hell of a lot of paint!!! Another question. On the RS grey painted wheels are standard and silver painted, the same wheel is optional. How much will the paint cost for that option?

Are you kidding?why be a concern?nothing is going to change.the zl1 rims have nothing to do with 6gen camaro.the prices might come down with the new rims available but not more for sure .and about those corvette rims you spoke about. You mean the c7 18 inches or the big 20s?cuz I don't thing they're cheap as you say 400 bucks

This is just a black painted version of what already comes standard on the SS. A paint upgrade won't be more than $500. The $2825 "option" that you're talking about is an additional set of wheels that you get on top of your stock wheels. That's why it's so expensive.

For the Gen 5 if you got the black rims did you also get to keep the stock rims?

The only black wheels that are available from the online "build and price" for the 5th gen are the wheels that are only available with the 1LE package. So adding the wheels adds the package. The wheels themselves aren't $3500. The 1LE package, which you have to have to get those wheels, is $3500.

I was reading that the dealer can send the stock wheels back and "subtract" the stock wheel cost from the black wheels so you're not actually paying the full price. |
