A base 2SS right now is $38,300. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's highly unlikely the price will go down or stay the same.

^^^^ exactly... a loaded out Mustang GT with Premium and Performance stickers for around 43-45k with automatic... it's wishful thinking but I think you're off by 2k.

Also keep in mind that 5th gen you can get a 2SS without RS package, standard painted wheels, no spare tire kit and a few other options that will bring the price down... the new 6th gen 2SS already comes very well equipped on Options... My guess is that we're looking for a 2SS to start closer to 40K and optioned out about 45-46K with Auto and MRC

Supplier Price is also the same as Credit Union Price... just join a credit union and get your price...

I have it from the company I work for, you be suprised how many suppliers GM deals with, even if it is just a small amount of business they are a lot of the time involved with supplier pricing.

If you get supplier pricing, are you still eligible for things like 0% financing and is it likely to get further discounts from supplier after initial demand has dropped?

How much is supplier pricing going to discount it? 3K? More?

yes... the supplier discount is a program in which the dealership can sell you the unit for below cost and then they get a kickback from GM to compensate for the cost... you can use a 0% offer on it but if there are rebates you'll lose those for the rate

3k is a bit of a stretch unless we're talking about a ZL1 or Z28... on an SS it's more like 2000-2400

Isn't MRC on the 'vettes something on the order of $1800?

Why are you saying exactly to an incorrect post? The 38300 he is quoting includes delivery, where I separated out the delivery cost, showing an increase of 700$ over the 2015.

The auto option has religiously been 1195/1295/1395 between all Chevy models for a long time. And MRC is 1795 on the Corvette. The cost difference in dampers and the added electronics is not that much. When you look at what GM prices the stock dampers at, it isn't a huge difference in pricing between the 1LE and ZL1 suspension.

As for your advise on joining a credit union, I'll agree with you there. But as for the rest, I think you are exaggerating the costs.

All though it seems my update has been overlooked, it should be noted today is the last day membership in a credit union will qualify a buyer for supplier pricing. Starting tomorrow the CU plan as it applies to the Camaro is $750. As far as I can tell, a CU Member buyer can combine the CU discount with GM Credit Card points.

But the point is this: CU Pricing is no longer the same as Supplier Pricing.

I said exactly to Thor's post... I still disagree with your numbers but we shall see in the next few months where pricing will be
