I too have the CAI.
But I too hardly ever hear it, because I have the SLP Loudmouth Exhaust.
Fundamentally, I don't think you can really hear it much at all.

I picked Halltech. good growl,$100 less then CAI, Same iat's or less and keeps A/F as stock so ecu isnt having to richen it up all the time and is plastic with a huge filter. that and Apex scoop makes same power as cai with scoop. Difference is CAI looks better. But it looks better then all the rest also.To dress it up I painted it black and the box red to match the car.
