Weird encounter with shift point

My car is tuned and all but when i was having fun with my car I stepped on it from a dig and when i took off, the shift point didn’t stop before hitting the redline, it keep going past into the redline and when it did it felt like the car gave up and got tired and so i was worried and let go off the pedal but the car was running good after, but from that experience when i step on it i use my paddle shifters so i don’t get the issue again but I don’t know if something is wrong ? Do i needa go get it tuned again ? Thanks for any feedback

Did they raise the redline and shift points?

how long have you been tuned?
I had the same issue when i first tuned my car but it went away after a while guessing the car adapted to tune.

also our cars can safely rev to 7200 rpm the redline is at 7000 but if it goes a little bit over and shifts it's okay as well, from my experience on my 62k mile 2018 3.6l v6 1lt camaro

I would first ask your tuner. You can at least eliminate that variable then

I thought I seen a post a while back that a stock LGX max HP is around 6200. Guess I would be tuning shift points there but I guess you they would need to tune on a dyno to really dial it in.

Max HP is at 6800 rpm on these cars. On most vehicles a shift point of about 200-300 rpm higher is usually ideal. And since the LGX shifts at 7000 this would apply to the point
