What IS it about these German car drivers? Are they so indignant of the mere presence of an American muscle car on their race track? Camaro drivers are people too, ya know?

Yeah, not working. But I did watch the other video you uploaded today. The white Caymen had a good save in that left hander at the beginning.

Weird. It's working for me right now. I wonder what I screwed up this time. And yeah, that was just another Porsche Eric. I have so many videos of those dudes. I plan to edit them all and making a little 'show'. hehehe

So I pulled post #1 up as a quote, added enough random keystrokes as a reply so I could preview it all, hit the video link (which shows up as underlined text) . . . Youtube comes back with "This video is unavailable / Sorry about that".

Is it something at your youtube level? I don't understand this stuff well enough to guess past that, but maybe it'll help somebody else figure out what's going on here.

By the way- I'm a Porsche guy that sold my Boxster S to purchase my '17 SS 1LE and I know of a lot of others just like me. In general- Porsche guys are better than most at getting out of my way in the SS 1LE on track. I've had nothing but compliments and warm regards from Porsche owners regardless of event sponsor- PCA, NASA, Chin, etc. I hate it people make generalizations about any marques owners.

hahah. This is going to sound like one of those 'I have a colored friend' conversations but this is all in fun. Porsche guys rarely move over for me, but I don't mind. And yeah, one of my friends is a GT3 driver and it's how I get invited to their club days. But don't think for a second they want to be passed by the American made step child. They are freaky fast cars and nearly impossible to get by if they don't want you to. And they don't.

Did I mention they don't want me to pass? Tell me that guy in the video wants me in front of him. 11 miles, man.

Welcome to the dark side. Hopefully the video works. It was never marked private so there is a problem somewhere.

You were definitely up his ass. Surprised he didn't let you by earlier. Nobody likes driving an HPDE with a faster car on their bumper like that. Strange!

I held back several car lengths as long as I could, then I just started taking weirdo lines to make him nervous. It's all I can do. I won't force a pass on HPDE. I was actually going to come in for spacing on the next turn but he finally pointed.

The car loses a little towards the end of the session on the straights...like 4 mph on really hot days, like this one (105-108) but nothing like what the Z06 guys are experiencing.

I think alot of guys who drive Porsche and BMW don't necessarily pay attention to what the American makers are doing and are surprised by what Chevy and Ford are doing with the Camaro and Mustang, for half the price of what their cars cost.

I agree. And on certain models ,even a ZL1 is FAR less than half of what they paid.

This is one of the most disgusting things I've seen recently. SHAME on the flagers for doing nothing about it.

PS- Porsche drivers in my region are really nice, it's BMW drivers that drive me nuts
