Although shows T2 vs T1. He drives a Corvette in T1 normally - or at least used to.

https://www.scca.com/events/1990178-majors-sir-cfr and driver interview: https://www.scca.com/videos/2034236 It looked like the Corvette and the Viper were both turning in very late and that corvette looked like it was trying to crash. Though it's always fun seeing the slower straight-line car win in the corners. |

Its not a 1LE. Its a SS. I talked with him on Instagram a bit about the car: Factory powertrain and drivetrain. Stock tunes on everything, even ABS. Brakes a race Brembos.

Not really. The 1LE adds absolutely nothing that would be useful to that build. In stock form, the 1LE is amazing, but at that level of build, the cheapest SS available is best. Suspension, interior, bushings, etc are all likely changed (suspension is for sure, he's running Penske dampers).

ajaquilante@lfpig Amazing minimal stuff. OEM engine(airbox to exhaust manifolds) trans and diff.exhaust is opened up. Suspension has the most work done with Penske shocks, and tuning on the springs and bars. Now the cups were not being driven to the limit like I was driving the Camaro.

The SCCA cars are stock based *race* cars, which start with major diets plus safety and performance changes and this is a good example of what our cars are capable of with race focused mods. But they are no longer street cars. As far as GT4R one wont find any stock suspension parts in it except for designated attachment points. It is a full on Pratt and Miller racer which weighs in at just over 3100lb. It is based on a production car body, but thats about it, more or less, as even that is heavily modified re weight saving components. NB Its motor is based on LT1 but it is a race engine built specifically for this application. |
