Sorry this might be a little out of context. If I have loan on my car through my credit union. Could the credit union buy it off of me?

Why would they? They may repo it for lack of payment but I doubt they'd want it otherwise.

They will probably come back with a counter closer to their price. Stick to your guns, remember you really want a black car. Make sure you let them know you are settling for the red and will walk away from anything more than your offer. There are other cars out there.

The credit union already owns your car. Right now you are trying to buy it off them.

Wow! How can a dealer sell for $10K under sticker? Incentives + hold back?

I've been shopping around for a 1SS 1LE and I get employee pricing. Best I have found around here is $42k. I found an Arctic Blue one on the interweb but that dealer came at me with $43K. I'll take off with the truck and trailer if I can find one within a day's drive for 38-39k. I'm not even all that picky about color.

Depends on how long you look, patience, a bit of luck and seasonal changes. It can be done, but if you have to have one right now, you gotta pay up.

The dealer is depreciating the F out of your slightly used trade while barely deprecating their slightly used vehicle at all.
Ask them why? Both are only slightly used. Put your original window sticker on the desk next to their original window sticker. Demand similiar depreciation. If he starts crying about a few thousand extra miles, ( doesn't mean shit ) I would get up and walk out. |

Why is obvious. One of those cars is something that people want to buy.

Nope. It's about dealer profit. No one really wants an SS or 1LE. Most folks don't even know what ss or 1le means.
The desirability is all in the enthusiast's head. Can't blame the dealer for wanting to profit on that "desirability", as much as they can. |
