Usually me to myself, but have run a 6th gen with a Procharger D1, I believe stock 6th gen ZL1 and a built 5th gen ZL1. Haven't lost yet, but there's still plenty of time. Break lots of necks though...

In my neck of the woods, dudes in their trucks. Nothing against trucks, got one myself, but here most guys have replaced muscle cars with muscle trucks.

Same here in Michigan, seems like it's always the truck guys revving their engines getting excited but they act that way even when I'm driving my Ford 500. I figure they just know an awesome car when they see one. Some of those diesels concern me with like 1200 ft lbs of tourque, could probably blow my doors off in the LT1!

Not when the trucks they're in weigh well over 6000 lbs... and these diesels only rev to 4000 rpm, if that.

Agreed, I’ve had a few attempt to make a power move from two lanes to one lane (off a light). It wasn’t even a challenge.

They're engineered for pulling, not racing.

Chargers, Mustangs, Challengers all with V8's... in that order. Happens often in my Wild Cherry Red Camaro with polished wheels.

They all know I have a V6.

Funny thing, hasn't happened in my Tesla yet...chicken chip.

Add to that even the un-lifted ones have a very high center of gravity, the lifted ones have absurdly high centers of gravity. Then there's the some of these things that have to have near 1000 pounds of unsprung weight...moreso even.

I mention all that because I do see them agressively tailgating people and trying to hustle through the curves. That can't well for them.

I can't speak to Canadian highways, having very limited experience driving there, but on US Interstates handling is not a factor unless the car is unstable at high speeds and I'm not sure I would call that 'handling'. It's extremely rare to encounter a stretch of Interstate that is unsafe even at 150 mph. The only place I've been where handling mattered on the Interstate was the entrance to the tunnel on I10 going through Mobile Alabama. Try to take that turn at high speeds and you're going to become a statistic.
I should have been more specific in stating urban highways, not highways in general.

Yes, on the open road with little to no traffic, the V8 wins, but in urban areas where there's more traffic, it's how well you can do a fast, but safe lane change; since long stretches of car-free lanes are rare. In this setting the V8's HP advantage largely disappears. But as I said before, most drivers aren't willing to risk going more than 30 mph over limit. BTW I haven't had a moving violation of any kind in my Camaro, because as a smart speeder, I know where, and when to speed, and when not to.

I haven’t owned my Camaro for a long time but trucks 100% of the time. Even the trucks that are driving in front of me have rolled coal. It has happened twice already in the 2 months I had my Camaro.

In other occasions, they see my car from the distance and I can see them speeding up, come up all the way to my ass, then pass me.

I don’t know what it is about my Camaro that makes them so mad lol

Nothing from Mustangs, Challengers, or chargers

I live in Tampa Fl

I was literally on my way home from buying my ZL1 (dealer met me half way) and I had a Harley of all things come flying up on me then started downshifting and egging me on to race him like an idiot. All I could do was laugh.

After owning my car for a few months now and it’s my daily, without question scat pack or clapped out chargers. Always. But they are everywhere out here. Surprisingly my car flies under the radar more than I thought it would which I’m fine with. Most people have no idea what a ZL1 is.

Here in the Detroit area it used to be 5.7L Challengers and Chargers. For a couple years Dodge was offering give-away leases for 5.7L Challengers and Chargers. $239 to $279 a month for two or three years. I assume that a lot of the takers were getting their first ever V8 that way and assumed that since it was a Hemi, it had to be as fast as a Hellcat, right?

That seems to have died down a lot. Leases have expired, cars turned in. So now I don’t get much stupid stuff directed my way. More and more though, what little “hey look at me! I’m fast too” crap comes from Ram trucks.
