What are the best jack pads?
I have the ZL1 Addons magnet adapter and its slipping around a lot and I can't use any permanently attached things to the pinch welds due to illegal for autocross.
What other options have you guys found? |

I've been using this for while:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0162BSK0M Having magnets in there would be handy. It's sturdy, stable and "soft" edge so no damage.

I have the zl1 add-ons magnetic unit and their companion plastic base which adapts to a jack pad. While they do slip a bit, they don't move under load. I imagine a little bit of silicone could be used to add some grip so they don't shift around as much before they are under pressure.

Can someone point me to a thread that discusses this in detail. In particular, why are the convertibles different? How is that handled?

Get the ones from zl1's that stay on the car. I have them and they work great. Plus if you have to take the car in and they use a 4 pt lift you can tell them to use the jack points.

If you have problems with slipping go to Dicks Sporting Goods and buy a couple of Hockey pucks. They are almost the perfect size. Put them on the jack and away you go.

I jack with these (two jacks) and set it down on slotted pucks on the stands. Bring the front up evenly from both sides, then the rear from the pumpkin
