MRR's and Colored Lug Nuts?
Has anyone bought colored lug nuts for their MRR rims? I'm considering these for my black chrome 1LE's, and not sure if the blue is the right match:
https://www.amazon.com/Nuts-Bulge-Ac...+lug+nuts+blue I think the normal acorn depth is sufficient, right? |

on my M228 I need long ones in front short in back, also need to be smaller diameter to fit in the M228. See photos in my post under MMR rims and Pilot cup 2

Thanks Steve, hard to tell from the pics, are the holes for the nuts deeper in front, and shallower in back? If the studs go through either way, shouldn't the short Acorn nuts fit regardless of the depth?

here is a picture of the front wheel with the long lugs. The back uses short.

Thanks, looks great, if you bought after-market lugs, which did you get?

Thanks, now that I look at the pics, the holes for the mounting studs look crazy-narrow. Paul from MRR said the "bulge" acorns won't fit, so that limits my options considerably. Anyone know if the "Spline" type lugs will work?

You have to use spline lugs, preferably ones advertised as 'small diameter'. These will allow the spline socket to fit inside the lug hole.
The reason it is long up front and short out back is the difference in offset of the wheels you buy. In the MRR case, the offset is 25mm and 43mm. Obviously the back hub mounting surface is 18mm thicker.....hence making your lugs 'stick out' that much more. If you ran a square setup, you would/could use the same length on all four.

Anyone think these (50 mm length) will fit, front or back?

50mm or 2" are considered the Long Style. After that there are a number of shorter ones. Exact length varies slightly from manufacturer. About 1.3 to 1.6 inch.

Thanks, so I need 10 50 mm's and 10 shorter ones? I have the MRR M017's. They seem to only sell them in 20 or more packs.

I ended up buying the 50mm blue nuts, hopefully they won't look ridiculous, especially 'cuz they're blue, lol. I can always go the gorilla route if these don't work, but wanted to break up the blackness on the wheels.

Anyone know what diameter the MRR spline lug nuts are? 17mm, or 19mm?
