If you catch it early on, adjusting the pinion and ring (nobody does this anyomore btw), and new oil might keep it alive.
Once teeth are worn out or worked out of alignments it's gone. You can get a used or new diff on ebay oif you're out of warranty/denied. It isn't that expensive and any shop can do the work. |

Annual fluid change is the cheapest easiest thing you can do for something that deals with the horsepower that it does

Mine has been whining since after the first track day. Fluid was changed, The car now has 4,000 mi on it and it's continuing to whine. I'll be taking it to the dealership once the summer season is done

Pinion nut worked it's way loose... In it's way to the dealer for a rear diff rebuild

OEM acdelco fluid.
The dealer is putting a new diff in it next week...
