So in the small overlap test (the first one) the front-end is obliterated but look at the rigidity of the cabin. No buckling in the frame surrounding the occupants and the interior appears to maintain its' structural integrity.
The Mustang's small overlap test made me gasp, the roof buckled and the side shot you see the entire cabin crumple. I wish they had the same camera view for the Camaro but front what I've seen it didn't do that, or wasn't nearly as extreme as the Mustang cabin's failure. The Challenger, oh my goodness... the fact that they made that follow-up video showing how difficult it was to remove the dummy from the car post-crash scares me. I've had people ask me why I didn't get a Challenger as it is more practical (big trunk, can fit adults in the back seat) than the Camaro. THIS. This is why. As much as I hate seeing it, I appreciate those that post pics of their Camaro after a crash. This is an incredibly safe car, especially compared to the competition. And what was that aqua color on the first SS for the small overlap test? Loved it!

This is also the benefit of using a carryover Alpha architecture that performs great as well. The Challenger? Architecture is what? 10 years old now?
