Rotor replacement

Hey guys,

Need a bit of help here, my rotors are due for replacement so i figured I'll go aftermarket, something like DBA/stoptech etc. I have a 17 camaro ss with the regular 4 piston brakes, I read that the camaro and the c7 z51 have the same brakes, however on DBA website they listed the t4000 series for the corvette but nothing for camaro, anyone know if they will fit?

stoptech actually have their sport series rotors for our cars, however c7 z51 shares the same brakes system as our 6th gen ss, they do have rotors for the c7 corvette z51 so i am wondering if they will fit our car as well.

How do you have rotors that need replacement already?

The OEM discs are excellent quality.

That said, if you're tracking that much, the 6-piston upgrade is where you need to focus your dollars. The base 4-piston SS brakes aren't up to the task for V8 track work.

the 4 piston actually surprisingly held up pretty well, im in canada so upgrading to the 6 piston will be quite $$, so im upgrading rotors, pads and lines and see if that will be good for now.

My OEM rotors have performed admirably but they now have spreading head cracks that are starting to get too close to the edge for my comfort. They've survived 15 HPDE days (VIR, CMP) with a variety of pads and 15K of daily driving.

I tried some StopTech 126-62119SR 126-62119SL rotors from Jegs and they DID NOT FIT despite the Jegs website claiming they would.

I've spoken with tech support at CARid about some StopTech 126-62150SR 126-62150SL rotors and they assure me that they will fit so I'm ordering those. I'll write back when they get here and let you know how it goes.

After some confusion, it appears that StopTech 126-62150SR 126-62150SL rotors *DO* match the OEM front rotors that came off the car (13.75" diameter). I wound up only receiving one of the two rotors in the box from CARID for some reason so I had my trusted mechanic put some Centric rotors of his choosing for now. I'm keeping the StopTech rotors in storage for next season.

Edit: correcting inaccurate info

I heard good things about r1concepts rotors. Does anyone have personal experience with this brand?
