Struts are $75 each, barely worth my time to take it to a dealer who may or may not fix the problem.

Will be a good little winter project.

Glad to see there's a resolution!

Don't forget to align after you get your new struts installed.

Great now I'm getting this on the PS. My dealership is totally incompetent. This is going to be a chore....

I was too, but after three tries I had enough, I was wasting more time and money being jerked around

My warranty is up in 2k miles. Been to the dealership twice and had the service manager ride with me. "Completely normal" So I'm going to do it myself also.

The service manager at my dealership doesn't even know the difference between tires and wheels. Sounds like I may need to invest in a strut compressor.

Not surprised, they don't even know what the car is for starters

Huge bang over big bumps

Haha I just checked into service at my local dealer for oil change and brake system flush and asked them to check front struts. Haha he already mentioned you know the suspension is really stiff right? I said yes but this is a known issue with them failing prematurely on these cars. We will see what they say. I have definitely had the earth shattering fall off issue as well, but also thought it was the car until I ran across this post. Too bad my car is out of the main warranty.

I installed 1le Shocks on my 2010 SS and have this very same problem, and for me it can be 10 MPH and if it is a drop off like you said it will crash.

I love the way it drives with the 1le shocks, but if I can't get this resolved I will probably rebuild my Coilovers and put them back on.......
