Should I install a ZL1 front fascia?

I have a 2013 ashen grey 1LE. When I got my car it had the front license plate installed. I had it like that for a while but I've never liked it. I took it off a couple months ago and the holes are starting to bug me. I know there's plug but they don't look that great IMO. I've added the ZL1 rockers and also rear diffuser. I'm debating on the fascia because I don't really want to pay to repair the original but at the same time I don't want to be a ZL1 clone. What is everyone's opinion on this? Thanks in advance!

There are ways to use the ZL1 front without making a clone. Don't use a ZL1 hood, use the standard Camaro grille. Make sure you retain the SS badging... No clone then.

I don't install anything on my car unless it has a functional purpose. I wouldn't put one on my car.

it's your car though...do whatever makes you feel good.

Do what you want it's your car. Your opinion is the only one that matters. Pretty sure I have read that the zl1 bumper does not look right with the standard hood.

Most people have the Fascia modified so the hood lines match up.
Some say that it isn't real noticable unless you are vert picky about things like that.

Find photos of Lio Martinez's 1LE. A little masking and plasti-dip does wonders.

Thanks for the replies. I'm more inclined to do it now. I'll keep my badges or I might get some 1LE badges.

i hadn't thought about this. Would they match up with a 14-15 SS hood? I like the look of the vent so if they match I might switch to that hood.

I did it on my SS. Kept my original hood and did the hex vents. Love the brake ducts. Also upgraded to the ZL1 brakes too...

First page of my build shows it...

Here is why I bought mine and the reasons. 1. I like to autocross and track my car when I can. The ZL1 front fascia creates less lift when on the track. 2. On an autocross track if, no when you hit a cone the insert will cost $150 fix. Front fascia will cost $600. 3. Anyone with a Camaro background will know there is no SGM ZL1. Just remember that the inner bumper guard will need to be replaced or modified. I had to on my 2010 don't know about your 1LE.

And the ZL1 front fascia is a functional piece.
