Do you know if this is normal on msd intake?
Looks like there is little pieces of plastic missing
See pics of runners
Thanks for input in advance

Not sure if that's normal but I will say the quality control for these manifolds is atrocious. I honestly wish there was a manifold that worked as good but was better put together.

Not for a cammed or stroker motor. Even Pray said if your doing a cam the MSD is your best bet unless you cut your hood then the High Ram is king.

Your absolutely right about the price. I think the MSD should be around 750 to 800 at the most. Another reason against the lt2 for me at least is I run a 103 and if you port the lt2 to match the 103 the manifold gets way too thin in the throat for boost.

Thanks for replying on the lt2 debate. I went back and forth many times on the lt2 vs msd
Gpi/pray has said porting the msd is 10 plus rwhp so that’s why I went this route.
The box stock msd is same peak hp to a PORTED lt2 according to the video.
So 798 for ported lt2 with port matching lt5 Tb vs $885 msd( on sale) . I do believe the msd will bring more resale down the road also when jumping to boost world .

Now
Anyone tell me if this is normal quality of msd?

Heatseeker I'd contact MSD and see what they say or maybe get them to swap you out with a different one.

Id' call that a very poor porting job, you think you're doing that to smooth air flow and then you just make it worse. Ya I'd send that thing back to MSD.

Is a tune required after the install of an MSD Ported Intake? Lets say I already have a ported TB by Soler.

Thanks

That’s the main reason I selected the 95 mm, plus u shouldn’t use the 103 on a ported LT2 on boosted applications, simply to thin after porting.

I added a pic just to compare, pic is after porting.

Man, talk about hijack
Great you love your combo. I see it in your thread you made
I’m here not to debate your setup or want pics of your porting
Just trying to see from other members if my msd is delivered like others
