To clarify, the mph for that 11.97 was low 117s.

The 118 was another run from the same night but without as hard a launch

The wheels helped but wondering if the 48,000 miles on the clock looses things up. This car does 98% highway driving

Congratulations to yotaman96 and Tenfive. I was there and can attest to the bad conditions. I think they were far worse than the DragTimes DA calculator had. My best at CF was my very first run early morning under Test and Tune and was a 12.66 against my PB of 12.11 in good (DA) conditions last fall. I qualified with a 12.94 at probably the worst time of day and then for eliminations my battery died in pre-staging and wasn't able to get it started in time. I was pretty bummed. I definitely wanted to go down swinging.

There was definitely some very good running 6Gens in SS separated by 4 to 5 tenths from the rest of the pack. Again, congratulations. You guys had some awesome runs.

Bill

so instead of participation trophies, we are getting participation records?

Can I be the fastest hyper blue metallic 1ss 2016 Camaro with stock floor boards, stock long block, and a dent in the side?

Im glad tim posted the correct times and was able to get a hold of the complete runoff ladder . Tim is a good guy and met him in the semifinal
I had some vibration issues and tire shake . But he won fair and square and my hat goes off to him and one quick car he has. Lots of good people I met at bowling green.

Of course you can.
Here you go.

I haven't done any runs yet but I know my car is fast.
I should at least get a plaque.

Nice runs TenFive especially for a Vert, but you should change the title of your thread to the fastest at CamaroFest.

I hope to go next year and run as a "Camarofest Stock ZL1". Looks like fun. By then I hope my 60s are more consistent. Here the stock rules are much stricter. I like Camarofest's stock rules better. And it makes more sense. A CAI and catback are fun mods which just make the car sound better and are worth nothing in the 1/4 in a CA6 Camaro. Also in my mind taking out the seats is not stock but allowed here. Full weight is stock. Low washer fluid and baby seats out is allowed.
Thanks buddy I didnt do it , none of us did for any trophy . We mostly all just like to see how we stack up against the quickest camaros in the country that showed up and had to compete under the same set of parameters and same set of rules . What would be nice is to have a similar event with better conditions and really let all 22 cars let em run hard with good air . It kinda sucks the folks that ran the drag race event portion didnt post up thte final q3 results , or elimination ladders or final winners . We had to ask and poke around for a few days to find out who won online . Once again congrats to Tim he has one nice ass Krypton green ss 1le . I still run mine with luggage and some spare clothes and tools in the car , lol.

Congrats again to all who competed

Tenfive signing off...

DA was over +3,800ft at 3:30 for the Finals. If you didn't run there at that time in those conditions then comparing other times and cars makes no sense. But I agree that the original title should have been "Fastest __________ at Camaro Fest".

That is all I am adding to this thread. LOL.

Did you have a tool to measure the DA? I know it was so hot and humid, I felt like I could've been on the verge of a heat stroke at one point. Drag times only shows around 3000, but Big Dave and a few others there said 3300 or better, now you've given an even higher number. I usually use drag times for my DA numbers to put on my slips, but I'm wondering if I shouldn't be using something different.

Whatever the true DA was, I'm happy with how the car performed in the heat. Too bad I decided to take a nap in the final against Big "Tree Master" Dave. I had so much fun in the stock ZL1 class, almost makes me want to keep it stock. Wish there had been more stock cars in the class though.

I had my Kestrel at the event. I was bouncing that off of ADO. There were about 5 of us checking ADO pretty consistently. I have never found Drag Times to be accurate at all.

Having two bottles of water in my hands at all times really helped me out. I have never drank so much water in my life.

Cool! So it sounds like it was quite a bit higher than drag times. I started doubting their numbers back in the winter when I ran my 10 and drag times said the temp was 43 I think, but I knew for sure the actual temp was 32. I need to find a different method. An app or something.

I drank a lot of water too. Pretty sure I sucked down 3 bottles of water between one round of racing!
