I saw those cat delete pipes similar the CA performance ones. Not sure I want to go catless due to noise as you point out and some other have complained about a gas smell in the car. I think am going to get headers with hi-flow cats, probably texas speed. Just debating between the 2" and 1 7/8".

I calibrated my P3 analog boost gauge last night. Saw as high as 9.3 lbs of boost with the 3.500 pulley on it. Which makes sense since a standard kit is 8 lbs with a 3.625 pulley. Going for the catless re-tune tomorrow.

whipple has been knock on wood absolutely fabulous! I have the stock pulley and i drove from fl to the CF* with Toyo R888R tires and unfortunately was struggling with grip at the drag strip. Performance is amazing and; did i mention 25 mpg on the trip there and back.

Glad to here you are happy with yours as well. I love the Whipple so far. I have 305/35ZR-20 Continental Extremecontact Sport tires on the rear (295 on the front) and i am very surprised how well they hook on the street. M6 btw, 1st gear is surely spinning, but 2nd usually hooks pretty good, much better than i thought. Once I am done with this stage of my build i will be hitting the track.

Pretty crazy to think all that HP and still 25 MPG, gotta love it. I saw 23 mpg on a 3 hr trip to the beach (some traffic), and thats with LT4 injectors.

The New Era ones you have to cut the exhaust...the CA performance units are direct bolt-in. I have the CA performance deletes with stock NPP and its not bad at all with the secondary cats in place. It does get Loud when in Sport or Track mode and the valves are open.

The CA Performance might be a good choice as well, although they do leave the secondary cats in place like KingLT1 mentions. Here are some pics of the New Era ones I installed. Gonna have to cut them back to install the Borla 60606 mid & x pipe, 60608 resonator and 11925 ATAK axle back kit. Hopefully it will sounds better then it does now.

Just got back from getting it re-tuned for cat-less exhaust. After 5 pulls and adjustments, certainly getting hot and heat soaking towards the end, 87 deg, 60% humidity here are the results:

I am super pleased with the results, and the drive-ability. Big shout out to the guys at CSP.

620 rwhp / 595 tq, just going catless yeilded 23 hp and 4 tq.

So all the way from bone stock to now 204 hp/168 tq gain.

Thanks man, I'm pretty pumped about it. Yeah, 93 Octane. Here is a link for one of the pulls that shows the A/F. This is not the final run. I will get a pic of the graph posted.

Congrats Josh!

I have all of the lt4 fueling and rotofab on the way. I am hoping that with the custom tune will give me another 60 or so hp which will put my gains from stock about the same as yours.

Thanks guys! I have learned so much from everyone else's experiences on this board, such a valuable resource!

Rob, thats great to hear you got all your parts, I am sure you will see very similar results. With HPtuners you could have Ted Jannetty get you tuned up!

I too am really leaning towards the Whipple install during the winter. I see you and others mention alot about the LT4 fueling. I know that is not needed for a basic S/C install, but what are the cost factors and install procedure for this? Better (easier) to do during the S/C install?

Your exact question is what pushed me to do the fueling upgrades when I did the Whipple. The injectors and HPFP are under the SC. So if you do the SC and want to do the fueling later you have to pull the SC off to do so. So while I had it apart it just made sense to me to just do it then. The cost might be a factor for you though, but thats up to you. Also do the front crank seal upgrade while you have it apart as well. LS crank seal GM part # 12585673. I got mine from Jannetty.
