I dont see how it would prevent wheel spin. The whole point in stiffening the rear end is to prevent wheel hop along with more rigid response.

Yeah, I'm thinking he needs better tire compound, lower tire pressure, better track prep, or revised damper valving more than a BMR brace.
The brace won't hurt, but not seeing it help traction as it's not like a traction bar or anything longitudinal to help with grip.
